The Locals is a set of humorous books about a group of friends that live on Orange Alley. They go to the same local school and play outside from dawn to dusk. The books are about their adventures at school and around the alley.

In each book the main characters have to tackle an issue and realize that life is not always easy. They have to appreciate what they have before losing it. Competition between rivals can be difficult but friendship and a good sense of humor will always come out as the winners.
